15 Months & Lots of Change

Preston has been gone for 15 months as of today. I remember when I had 15 months left. It keeps making me realize how fast time really does go by.
Anyway, as you girls know, things have changed. I just kind of made this video to explain the fact that I don't have "two boyfriends" like some of you have said.
Enjoy :)

  1. Desiree,
FIRST! You flippin sound like me. Honestly. I had a boyfriend go on a mission in 2010. He and I broke up before he left but a few months after he left I had a different boyfriend and now he is on his mission.

Second of all, to anyone who is hating on you for doing what you think is right, they don't understand. They don't know what it's like to be in your situation so therefore they will hate on you. I hope you're not letting them get you down.

Life isn't a fairytale and some people gotta learn that first hand. I have always adored you and I hope that wherever life takes you, you are happy and feel like you are making the best decisions in your life. :)

    Best wishes sweetheart! :)

  5. I was the one of the girl who said you had two boyfriends, so I'm sorry about that. You and Jared look SO happy and cute together! You're giving me hope that if I do end up dating someone while my missionary is gone, it will be okay and I'll be happy.
I hope everything keeps going well for you!

  6. I have officially stalked your blog! My missionary and I just reached the one year mark! I honestly thought I was alone in this whole "missionary girlfriend" deal! I never really thought about all the other girls going through the same thing! I'm not a part of the Mormon church so this was all new to me! Reading your blog gives me so much hope! Just the fact that I can relate to somebody else means so much to me. My friends try but they just don't understand the half of it. I think God led me to your page! I was feeling down and I ran across it. Thank you so much for putting yourself out there! Don't listen to the haters! They clearly don't know you or understand the situation. Everyone is different. I wish you the best of luck on your journey with both Preston and Jared! God bless!

  7. I came across your blog and loved it. There is so much hope in your words. I am trying to get through this but I have high hopes that whatever the Lord has in store for me I know it will work out in the end, just as you, even if one goes the other way, it will be for the better, and great things will come of it. There are so many girls out there facing this challenge, but if they feel it is the right thing to do, then go for it. My missionary just left and I am glad he decided to go. God bless in everything you do!
